What is The Soulville? .... The vibrant hum of a cosy bar, the sizzle of fresh food on a smokin' char grill and the unmistakable crackle & hiss of chunky black vinyl spinning on a "free to use" original vintage jukebox. Put simply -

We pride ourselves on being family friendly, because family is everything. When we say "family run" we mean just that, from taking your booking, meeting & greeting, cooking or serving your food & drinks, you are sure to meet at least one of us somewhere along the way. That hands on approach means that you can relax in the knowledge that your enjoyment means as much to us as it does to you.

and dedicated staff (our extended Soulville family!) most whom have been with us for years, share our passion and commitment to delivering the unrivalled quality of food and attentive service that we are renowned for in Nottingham.

Smack bang in the heart of one of the country's most vibrant cities, you can jump off any town centre bus or tram and practically land on our doorstep.

We are the ideal accompaniment to a days browsing in Nottingham's eclectic selection of

big brand stores or award winning independent shops or maybe an evening at the Theatre Royal, the Corner House, Cine World, the Motorpoint Arena or any of the numerous events taking place throughout the year in The Old Market Square.

Twenty years as a chef and twenty five years as a vinyl collecting Soul

music enthusiast are the two ingredients that combined to bring you

the first Soulville Steakhouse in Nottingham in the summer of 2006.

Finding a home for The Soulville with a rich musical history and the most amazing spiral staircase this side of the 1960's was just a bonus...

... The Elite Building as it is now known celebrates it's centenary this year. This majestic white marble fronted Georgian cinema opened as "The Elite Picture Theatre" in 1921 with Mary Pickford starring in the silent movie "Pollyanna". The first ever "talkie" to screen in Nottingham was also

shown at The Elite.

We pride ourselves on our great homemade food, but the atmosphere we try and create enhanced by the free to choose jukebox classics and ever expanding collection of assorted music memorabilia is just as important.

All Soul & Motown is musically timeless, whether you grew up listening to it, grew up listening to your parents listening to it or have just discovered it recently with a little help from "Alexa" it is what keeps every dancefloor in the country busy and is what helps make us who we are!

We hate the words "music themed", the integrity of the music is important to us, no-one is coming to take your order dressed as "James Brown" You can't order an "Otis Redding Burger" and we guarantee your dinner will not be served on a "platinum disc!"

The music compliments the food, there is a definite nod to the Southern states of The U.S, BBQ ribs, Buffalo wings, Cajun tuna, Creole chicken but all cooked fresh on the premises from our own

in house recipes.

We have spent the past 15 years honing our culinary skills, when

we say we have the best ribs in town, we genuinely mean it!

Moving forward we want to enhance the musical aspect of The Soulville, we have plans for live soul singers, Sunday soul sessions with live DJ's and who knows maybe even a little Motownokee!
